| Margaret and Ian Foster from Thornton have launched a new website dedicated to their daughter who suffers from a rare condition called Retts Syndrome, a genetic disorder which mainly affects girls. Read the life story of Stacey through her parents eyes as they bring up a severely handicapped child. |
 Margaret had a normal pregnancy and thought her baby daughter, Stacey, would develop into a normal , loving little girl.
She watched her daughter learn and grow but just a few years later went through the torture of seeing all that progress unravel before her eyes.
Stacey lost the ability to walk, talk and feed herself in just three years and then Margaret was told she was facing life with a severley handicapped child. Now Stacey is nearly 18 years old and her parents, Margaret and Ian, agreed to tell their story in a bid to raise awareness of the disorder.
